The two-day birth doula workshop (BDW) is approved as one step in the process of certification as a birth doula with DONA International.
The one-day introduction to childbirth for doulas (CB) optional prerequisite course is a certification requirement for those who are not birth professionals.
The three-hour introduction to lactation for doulas (Lac) optional prerequisite course is a certification requirement for those who are not lactation professionals.
A workshop may be scheduled as either a live virtual online event or an in-person event.
In order to participate in a virtual workshop, participants must have adequate internet access and be able to participate on a laptop or desktop computer in a quiet and private space. Participants must also have an adult partner available for short periods of time in the late afternoons of the two-day doula workshop to practice comfort measures and positioning techniques.
In-person events are held at various locations.
Check or money order payments must be received no later than two (2) weeks in advance of a scheduled workshop. Please complete the attached registration form and send it along with your check or money order.
